    What it does, and what it does not
    • It marks passages that stay on one subject and stand on their own, and shows you why.
    • It marks where a passage is, not where a sentence begins. A moment can open or close mid-sentence, and the handles under it move the edges.
    • It does not guess what an audience will do with a clip. Nothing here measures that.
    • It reads faster than the recording plays: measured at a seventh of its length in a browser on a two-core machine, and a little under half on a 2017 laptop. No phone has been measured. Moments appear once it has heard enough to hold one.

    Nowhere. It all runs in this page, on your device. There is no account and no upload.

    The tool itself is downloaded the first time you use it, from where it is published. Your recording is not part of that.

    You can check it: read one recording, then turn your network off and read another. It still works, because by then the tool is on your device.
